Well, duh!
The pope is Catholic. George Michael is gay. Lupita Nyong’o is one of the world’s most beautiful people. It’s a given. Thankfully, People Magazine agrees. They have just named the 31-year-old actress “Most Beautiful”, beating the rest of probably sour female Hollywood.
This came as no surprise. Lupita is the breakout star of 2014. Everybody loves her, from Hollywood to your next door neighbor. And everybody wants a piece of her, from designers to beauty companies. Lancôme in the end won, signing the black goddess as their new face.
Definition of Beauty
Lupita wouldn’t be Lupita if she didn’t accept this honor with poise and grace, reflecting that as a child she thought the definition of beauty was “light skin and flowing, straight hair”. Luckily, her mother eventually knocked some sense into her: “My mother always said I was beautiful. And I finally believed her at some point”, she told the magazine.
You‘re GORGEOUS, Lupita. Finally we have a great example for those darker women who don’t feel pretty or even think they need to bleach their skin to be accepted. Don’t! Just be like Lupita: black, fabulous and proud!
